When Swedish skater Ishtar Backlund showed us her portfolio of fantastic drawings that were created throughout her travels around the globe, we were blown away. When asked she said it is somewhat of a subconscious process. She starts with one idea and continues building on it with shapes that flow out of her pen resulting in an intricate picture of ornament shapes, expressing real life experiences through abstraction. We are stoked to see a limited run of her artwork being featured on the 2012 Bustin Strike! It is a great drop-through board for beginning longboarders as it is low to the ground, making it easy to learn the basics of pushing and foot-breaking as well as freestyle techniques. Congrats Ishtar!
